How COD helped him get there?

Armando enlisted in the military after he graduated high school in 2015. His time serving and now raising his own family, revealed a passion for helping children in need.

 

Thanks to College of the Desert’s Veterans Resource Center and the College’s proximity to his home, pursuing higher education in a field like social work has become an achievable goal. He specifically hopes to make a difference in cases involving human trafficking.

 

While securing consistent childcare has been a challenge for Armando, he is confident College of the Desert has the right combination of programs and resources to help him achieve his educational goals.
